She's Swiss, you're covered. What befuddles me is in the video she's clearly got a proper rock band playing the song, but you can't hear them over the crappy dance remix.

While I appreciate the sentiment and applaud the dilligence of your research, the fact of the matter is that she would never have gotten into a position where she could do such violence to a Metallica-song were it not for German executives and the approval of a large number of German viewers/voters.
Thankfully, I feel no real shame for the follies of my compatriots. ;-P

The rock band/dance pop-paradigm indeed is puzzling. :-S
