Some words from the honourable L.J. Washington (him of the mighty bunny slippers)

Don't mock me my friend. It's a condition of mental divergence. I find myself on the planet Ogo, part of an intellectual elite, preparing to subjugate the barbarian hordes on Pluto. But even though this is a totally convincing reality for me in every way, nevertheless Ogo is actually a construct of my psyche. I am mentally divergent, in that I am escaping certain unnamed realities that plague my life here. When I stop going there, I will be well. Are you also divergent, friend?

On a similar subject, I did not notice till today that Charles Manson is actually singing "Helter Skelter" right in the middle of Skinny Puppy's "Worlock". That's why listening to KiEw and Feindflug is dangerous for me: I just sit there and try to figure out where the samples are from. :-)

ZIMMER 72!!!!!!! OOoooooh, where did you get that/what's it from/is there a rest??

How long you gonna be in Berlin? Looks like I'll be going there once I get back from the States -- maybe we can meet up and have a Berliner or two, hehe ;-)

I don't think that Mr. Washington got to say that much more, but then it has been a while since I saw that film.
It's from "Twelve Monkeys". As I said, listening to those bands is dangerous.
So far, I have also spotted samples from "Donnie Darko" in "Gabriel", an obvious one from "Groundhog Day" in "Groundhog" and "Prinzip Ja" has got to be a reference to the "Fragen an Radio Eriwan"-series that used to be big in the 60s/70s.
Now I still have to find out where Feindflug got the two bits in "Menschenjagd".

When are you coming back from the US? I will be in Berlin till the end of March, more or less, go to Landshut for April and, if things go as planned, will then return to Berlin.
You wouldn't happen to know anything about the "Schlagstrom"-night, would you?

Cool, when you do, let me know, ok? I love knowing where samples come from too ... now that I'm thinking of it, do you know where Tumor got the samples for "Das neue Fleisch"? Irgendwie kommt mir das bekannt vor ...

I'll be back from the States on the 11th. Supposed to be heading to Berlin then just about directly on/over the Ides. Don't know anything about the Schlagstrom night, unfortunately.

Something along the lines of
(Woman) "Um das neue Fleisch zu erreichen, musst Du Dich erst vom alten Fleisch trennen" and then a repeated (Man) "Es lebe das neue Fleisch."?
That's from David Cronenberg's "Videodrome" http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0086541/.
Good film, give it a shot. :-) You'll never look at your telly the same way again.

Hey, they don't have it on the list yet:
