A question for people who listen to Evil Music

Listened to Cradle of Filth's "Damnation and a Day" at very high volume yesterday (one of the benefits of having the keys to a theatre are that you can use an industrial-strength sound system when there's nobody else there 8-) and just totally failed to find it scary in the slightest. Black Metal to me really is more like a classical symphony than anything I hear in my nightmares. I enjoy the opulence of it. Am I weird or is there anybody else here with similar experiences?

Track 99 on "Antichrist Superstar", that is unsettling or "Merle (Die Elektrik)" but not Black Metal.
